梦水屋外滩分店

What to ask before you call

• Whether they can come now, and roughly how long they will take
• Whether there is a call-out or quotation fee, and whether you get a price before work starts
• A price range for your problem (blocked drain, leak, and so on)
• How you can pay

What you can do while you wait

• If water is about to overflow, close the isolation valve under the toilet or sink, or the main stopcock
• Do not keep flushing, and do not put wipes or objects down the toilet
• If a leak is near electrical items, switch the power off at the consumer unit before going near
• Agree the price before work starts. You can say no if you are pressured to sign on the spot
